SAMPLE AGENDA

Note: Courses will vary each tournament and will be determined based on players’ recommendations.

Day 1 - Participants Arrive & Team Selection Round

Canyon Breeze – This round will be used to determine the teams for the remainder of the competition.

Format – Play Own Ball

This round will be used to determine teams. It is important that we play with something on the line. The individual foursomes can pick the game they want to play. The only requirement is you have to stand to lose $10 dollars and you have to play your own ball. It is important that we understand how you play under pressure. The scoring will be net.

Team Selection @ Silver Reef Brewery – Dinner Provided

This is a Ryder Cup style team event. The first three rounds will be 2-man team matches and the final round will be a round of singles matches. The total number of points available for each team is 15; each match accounting for a single team point. The first team to 8 points wins the competition. There will be bragging rights as well as awards available for points earned during the competition.

Day 2 - Morning [Matches 1-3]

Sky Mountain – 3 team points available

Format – Two-man Texas Scramble – This will be handicapped at 75%

Each side will be divided into two-man teams playing head-to-head against a two-man team from the other side. For the Texas Scramble format, each team member will play a tee shot. After all players have teed off, each team decides which drive they will select as the ball to play, picking up the second tee shot. From the ball selected as the ball in play, each player will hit a second shot from within a club length without improving the lie and will play his own ball until the ball is holed. The players for each team records the net score for that hole and each team selects the lowest net score for that hole as the team score for that hole. Each match will be scored based on the lowest stroke play score with the lowest net score for the round determining the winner. The winning team will be awarded a point. In the event of a tie, each team will be awarded a half point.

Day 2 - Afternoon [Matches 4-6]

Sand Hollow – 3 team points available

Format – Two-man Four-Ball or Best-Ball – This will be handicapped (handicap approach TBD)

In a four-ball match, each member of a two-player team plays his own ball from tee to green until it is holed (so four balls are in play on every hole.) At the conclusion of each hole, each player records a net score for the hole. This match will be scored following the match-play format. The low score for each team is compared and the team whose player has the lowest net score wins the hole. If the low net scores are the same, the hole is halved. At the conclusion of the match, the team that has won the most holes wins the match. If at the conclusion of the match, the teams are tied, the match is deemed a tie and each team is awarded a half point.

Day 3 - Morning [Matches 7-9]

Sunbrook - 3 team points available

Format – Two-man Texas Scramble – This will be handicapped at 75%

Rules to be the same as those employed in matches 1-3

*In this round, the Holy ball will be available. Details will be discussed

Day 3 - Afternoon [Matches 10-15]

Ledges – 6 team points available

Format – Singles Matches – This will be handicapped based on the handicap established for each player.

Captains will determine the match-ups for the singles matches. Each game will be scored following the rules of match-play. In singles, a player from each team will compete against a single player from the opposing side. Each player plays their own ball from tee to green until the ball is holed. The player with the lower net score on each hole wins that hole. If their scores are tied, the hole is halved. At the conclusion of the round, the player who won the most holes wins the match and is awarded one team point. In the event of a tie, each team will receive a half point.

Dinner and awards will be provided.

Note: If you are interested in playing an additional round Sunday, please let the organizing committee know of that desire. Event fees will cover 1) greens fees for the qualifying round and all competition matches, 2) dinner for mentioned nights, and 3) lodging for three nights.
